The Pentax K1000 is one of the most popular cameras used in photography that has been around a very long time. This is because it is a very simple camera, and even though it can't do much like some newer cameras can, it does what it needs to do.

The metering system is on the right side of the picture above, and it is used to measure the brightness of the picture. To get the perfect brightness for a picture, the little stick needs to be straight like it is in the picture, and if it isn't, there is a slider that you can use to put it in the right position.
