Packaging- Primary Research

This is my primary research, and these packages were found from local shops. I am going to use some of the ideas from these products as the packaging that I'm going to create will have to stand out, and look attractive to kids so that they will buy it. These are examples of kids packaging that use bright colours to achieve this.

This packaging doesn't promote healthy food, but this isn't the only reason that it attracts kids to buy it. It uses many different colours around the whole of the packaging, and this catches peoples eye, as its not boring. The use of these colours means that kids will be more likely to pick it up, rather than the package just being brown, as it adds more excitement to the box. I like this packaging as even though there are lots of different colours used, it isn't too much, as the designers have set the colours up in an order which doesn't look over the top.

This product is also selling unhealthy foods, but what they have done is that they have included a character, to help make the product even more interesting. This will help me in my work as I could use characters to make healthy food more exciting, as it doesn't have to just be junk food that's interesting.

This packaging for a fruit water drink doesn't have animals or characters on it, but it includes a few bright colours that look good with the different fruit on the design, which contrast each other and make it look 'playful' which will attract kids easily. I also like this design as the typeface they have used is quite distinctive, instead of being more formal, which would make more kids look at this instead of something with more of a formal look as this again is more playful.
