My primary and secondary research were both helpful in my research as they both gave me different ideas for what I should include in my packaging. The secondary research however let me search on the internet for more unique packaging, so I think that this helped me more than the primary packaging.
The processes and techniques I used were successful, as the printing came out well, and I used illustrator to help me get the right measurements for the packaging, to allow it to be the right size and stick together properly. The techniques I used were printing, illustrator, and card.
The artists and designers I looked at who were based on branding were called Slice Design, Flip Flop Design, and Bulletproof Design, and they all influenced me in my work as all there creations explored what needed to be included, and what was added to make them all individual.
I was influenced by other healthy packaging brands, such as innocent smoothies and frubes, as all of their packaging easily attracted kids into wanting to get those foods, so i looked at their ideas and created my packaging based on bright colours and lettering.
I chose card to create my packaging as the way i folded it worked best with this material, making it easy to create, whilst it still allowing food to sit inside.
The changes I made to the packaging were the designs, as at first I was going to used stripes, buts spots fit better with the packaging, and made it stand out more. From this project, I learnt that packaging needs to include many different warnings to show people what is in the packaging, otherwise people who can't eat those foods would get seriously hurt, and whilst making the packaging, I also gained more skills on illustrator.
To make my project better, I could have included more styles, or more versions of the packaging for different foods. I think I have been successful, as I have stuck to the brief well, and was able to include everything needed onto the package.
