Secondary Research-Farmaggedon

For secondary research, I will look at the different types of advertisement you can use to help promote things like farmaggedon, and what I can use to create my product. All the different things I could use to advertise could be posters, greeting cards, t-shirts, stickers, badges, book marks, and mugs. I have also looked at different scare attractions and what they have used to promote themselves to see what us used to scare people the most.
With each of the farmaggedon designs you see, they are all made to scare you , so i need to keep in mind that I need to include this in whatever I make, for it to stay with the same theme. This poster uses a dark background to contrast the writing, and also keeps the writing messy, which helps it to look more scary. The use of the skull with the fire allows the picture to still look scary, even though no blood or gore was included, and this is important for farmaggedon as they are not allowed to use certain types of gore that goes too far for viewer discretion purposes.

Other places have also used graphics to promote their horror attractions, and one of which being Alton Towers. They have kept their original theme parks logo, but add different 'spooky' things at Halloween so that it can promote their scare attraction. They call it the scarefest, and like farmaggedon, have people dressed up around the theme park, which they also have on for the whole of Halloween. In the advertisements and pictures they use to promote themselves, they use images of what there is to offer at the scarefest, such as the zombie people or even just the rides, but they edit it in a way that makes it look old and creepy to scare you into coming to the park. I like how they promote it because they not only create new things to scare people like the actors dressed up and then photographs, but they also use what they already have and what they are already known for and creepily add it to the pictures.

Another place like farmaggedon that does good promotion is the London Dungeons, which is where people again dress up, but then allow you to follow them around the dungeons and listen to different creepy stories to freak you out. They advertise this by showing you what's inside and let you look at all the different types of people/monsters you will see. I like how they promote as the writing they use looks very creepy, so even if you just saw the words 'The London Dungeons' you would already know that this place was made to scare you, due to the typeface they are using.
