There are many people in the art/design industry who make their own work, but there are also many that don't. Should they be allowed to use other peoples work and say that it is theirs, or is this wrong? People have started to debate wether certain artists should be able to claim work as their own as they have only thought of the idea/creation, and have not contributed to actually physically making the product.
There are a large amount of pros for when your making your own work, which include that when you make it yourself, it will show off your own personality, instead of someone else's, meaning that what you create will be unique to anything else that has already been made. Furthermore, you will not have to worry about copyright, and the money that you gain won't have to be shared out to any other people, because nobody else has helped you.
There are also many cons against doing your own work, such as when you make it, it is harder for you to mass produce it, so it's a lot quicker for you to get help and allow other people to make it for you, then you can concentrate on the mass production of the product. Also, if you use help, it can sometimes influence your ideas and allow you to think of creations or designs that you wouldn't have been able to think of if you were making it on your own.
