I have been commissioned by Farmer Teds to help advertise for one of their many events they hold throughout the year, which include Farmaggedon, Halloweek, Farmer Christmas, The Reptile House, Animal Farm and school visits. The client has asked me to create any media, such as a website, audio, video, or art, to help renew their look, but not change it, for their market place.
From all of the events, they want me to choose one to create the media for and with this, I will explore how using different media, and how incorporating them together can enhance their look and their communication, whilst producing the graphic imagery. With the media, I also need to include evidence of research I have looked at for inspiration, from things like other websites for similar events, or designers who create work within the same genre, who will help me come up with lots of different ideas.
The processes I will be using for this project are photoshop, illustrator, and I will also use a badge press.
The techniques I will use are sketching, blogging, and drawing with pencil crayons and markers.
My target audience is quite a big range, which is from about 14+.
For my primary research, I will go to local areas and find leaflets and postcards to help me see the correct sizes, and to give me ideas I could maybe use as they may also be badges and stickers, which I could also create along side my other ideas.
For my secondary research, I will use the internet and books to find other types of media people have used for similar attractions, to see what is quite popular and what ideas are not used.
There are not many constraints for this project, but I need to finish it in the time, and I will need to make sure that the media will fit with the event, meaning that its appropriate, as, for example, if I choose Farmaggedon, there cannot be too much gore as the media will be banned.
I will spend about 7 weeks on this project, and the deadline is Monday the 5th March 2018.
